This conceptual 4.6 kilometre walk takes you on a journey through the Earth’s deep history from its beginnings, 4.6 billion years ago, to the present day. At a pace of 1 million years per metre, we journey through the Earth’s rich history, stopping off at key moments to discover the evolution of the Earth’s landscapes and lifeforms through stories, poetry, conversation and reflection. Co-led with Mark Smalley, a creative writing facilitator who brings an opportunity for some Touchstone reflections and creative writing around our experience of deep time dimensions.
